The course objective is to prepare the teacher for the implementation of learning activities that will help students to thoroughly understand the critical issues related to the sustainable management of water resources: existing problems and challenges, expected outcomes and forecasts, ongoing initiatives and projects.

Teacher participants need to realize that the problem of water resources is directly related to them and they can also plan and implement solutions, both at the individual level and on a larger scale (family, neighborhood, community, town / village, municipality, etc.).
